SB10 JUMPING HOUR

DISCOVER THE BESPOKE PROGRAM FOR THE SB10 JUMPING HOUR - 39.5 MM

Introduction

At Sartory-Billard, the SB10 offers a different way of approaching time through a jumping hour display.

In its bespoke version, it becomes a true design collaboration built around one client. Each project starts from a defined base, then evolves through choices of materials, finishes and details to create a coherent and personal piece.

This approach gives meaning to every decision. The client is involved throughout the process, resulting in a watch that is not just unique, but truly their own.

As we discuss the watch you wish to create, renderings are developed to refine the design until the right balance is achieved. Once the direction is defined, the project is confirmed with a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due before shipping.

Cabochon

The SB10 stands out through its display, structured around a cabochon positioned at the center of the watch. It replaces the traditional dial and gives the piece a strong and immediately recognizable identity.

The hour appears through an aperture at six o’clock, while the minutes are displayed on a rotating disc around it. This construction creates a different way of reading time, with a real sense of depth and movement.

In a bespoke project, the cabochon can be adapted depending on the desired result. Its material, color, and overall appearance can be defined by you, to ensure coherence with the rest of the watch.

These choices directly influence the final look of the piece. A more contrasted cabochon will naturally draw the eye, while a more discreet one will integrate more seamlessly into the overall design.

ORDERING PROCESS

Fonts

The SB10 offers the possibility to customize the typography used for the hour disc.

Different numeral styles can be explored, from more classic designs to more contemporary or distinctive ones. This choice has a direct impact on how the watch is read and perceived, giving it a more traditional or more graphic character.

Beyond the style itself, particular attention is given to proportions, harmony, and contrast. These elements are essential to ensure clear, balanced, and comfortable legibility in all conditions.

Typography is not treated as a secondary detail, but as an integral part of the design. It interacts with the cabochon and light to create a coherent visual identity.

Straps

The SB10 offers the possibility to choose between different types of straps, depending on the intended use and overall style.

Leather straps can be customized with different colors, finishes, textures, and stitching, allowing them to match precisely with the dial and other elements of the watch. Rubber straps are available in a range of colors, offering more contrast or a more contemporary feel.

There is also our in house metal strap, featuring alternating brushed and polished surfaces paired with a robust three-fold clasp signed with the logo.

This choice allows the watch to be adjusted on the wrist, from a more classic and understated look to something more dynamic or expressive.

The strap is not just a functional element. It extends the design of the watch and contributes to its overall balance, complementing its volumes, materials, and presence.

Engravings

The SB10 offers the possibility to integrate a personalized engraving as part of a bespoke project.

With a closed caseback, it is possible to add a logo, a date, a quote, or any other meaningful detail of your choice. This engraving allows the watch to be anchored in a personal story, whether it relates to an important moment, a memory, or a more discreet element visible only to its owner.

The choice of caseback therefore influences the relationship one has with the piece. An open caseback highlights the movement and its mechanical dimension, while a closed caseback offers a more intimate space for personal expression.

Options:
Open caseback – Showcases the movement in its full mechanical beauty
Closed caseback – Ideal for a personalized engraving (logo, date, quote, or any meaningful detail)
