The SB05’s hands are a testament to meticulous design, blending functionality with artistic precision. Crafted with a fixed spear shape, they feature ultra-thin bead-blasted bases that provide a refined matte texture, contrasting beautifully with their polished tips.
The central spine incorporates a subtle fluted design, with gracefully concave sides that create a multi-dimensional aesthetic.
Case
Measuring 38.5 mm in diameter and 8.5 mm in thickness, the SB05 case represents a pinnacle of contemporary watchmaking design.
The case design is a masterful interplay of textures: polished, brushed, and micro-blasted finishes create a dynamic visual narrative. A recessed, concave bezel frames the dial with polished elegance, while stepped lugs—individually secured with screws—showcase the watch’s intricate construction through alternating surface treatments.
Embodying the watch’s design philosophy, the crown features a unique triple finish—media-blasted, satin-brushed, and polished. Its ergonomic design ensures comfortable manual winding, while its meticulous detailing seamlessly integrates with the watch’s overall aesthetic.
Dial ring & logo plate
The dial ring frames the display with understated sophistication, featuring a nuanced mix of brushed and polished finishes. The Studio Underd0g logo plate, with its beveled edges and satin finish, sits elegantly on the dial—a subtle yet significant detail that embodies the brand’s refined aesthetic and commitment to craftsmanship.
Movement
Powered by the manual-winding La Joux-Perret Caliber 7380 (dubbed SBM01), this ultra-thin movement is a technical marvel. Measuring just 30.00 mm in diameter and 2.90 mm in thickness, it operates at 3 Hz with an impressive 90-hour power reserve. Finished with a dark metallic grey NAC treatment, the movement reveals its artistry through circular satin-brushed bridges, polished beveled edges, and intricate snailed crown and ratchet wheels. The spade-shaped balance bridge and your personal engraving transform the movement into a visual narrative visible through the sapphire crystal case back.
