About Sartory Billard

Sartory-Billard is one of the most compelling voices in contemporary independent watchmaking. Founded in 2015 by French designer Armand Billard, the brand was built on a simple yet powerful idea: that a watch should not merely tell time, but express the personality and story of its owner.

Each Sartory-Billard piece begins with a dialogue — sometimes with a material, sometimes with a memory, and often directly with the collector — resulting in timepieces that are deeply personal and crafted in small numbers.

Our Creation for You

Picture a dial that doesn’t merely show time but seems to breathe. This watch draws its soul from Harvard’s iconic crimson, using the exact Crimson Red Pantone from the Harvard database to create a vivid guilloché surface that dances with light at every movement of the wrist. At its heart, a subtle repeating pattern inspired by the Harvard crest forms a textured center, an intellectual signature hidden in plain sight.

The Extra Step

The hands are entirely new to our collection, sculpted in the elegant shape of fountain pen nibs, a tribute to the written word and the academic spirit that defines Harvard. Their concave form captures light like polished steel quills poised above parchment. Completing the composition, the numerals 6 and 5 reference the OPM 65 program, anchoring the design in the shared memory of a cohort of business owners who attended Harvard’s executive program.

Unique To You

The caseback continues the story with quiet symbolism and careful craftsmanship. Surrounding the sapphire exhibition window is an engraved laurel wreath inspired by Harvard’s historic insignia, a timeless emblem of achievement and academic excellence. Also currently featuring a blank space at the top, where you can write your name or any phrase (up to 15 characters including spaces) - a date of birth, initials, something poetic..

Rather than mentioning the university by name, the design takes a more subtle path, featuring HBS | OPM65. Through the sapphire crystal, the mechanical movement reveals its rhythm, while the rotor carries the Sartory Billard signature. Each watch is individually engraved with its unique number, such as 1/XX, 2/XX, 3/XX. Numbers will be assigned at random, making every piece a surprise within this exclusive collection.
