The previous ranges mark successive stages in Sartory-Billard’s evolution, each reflecting a different level of ambition, technical development, and creative control, while remaining rooted in the brand’s core philosophy.
The SB04 established the foundation: a highly customizable platform centered on proportion, balance, and dial creativity. It allowed clients to engage directly with the design process, resulting in deeply personal pieces where authorship was shared, yet always guided to maintain coherence.
With the SB06, the brand moved into a more technical territory through the introduction of its proprietary movement. This marked a shift toward greater independence and legitimacy in watchmaking, while preserving the same attention to dial work, materials, and overall harmony.
The SB07 explored further refinement and experimentation, both in construction and in aesthetic execution. It served as a bridge between the accessible customization of earlier models and the more ambitious direction the brand was pursuing, reinforcing consistency in design language while expanding technical possibilities.
The SB08 represents the most advanced and ambitious expression of this trajectory. Conceived as a high-end project with significant technical and financial investment, it pushed the boundaries of design, architecture, and display. Although ultimately not realized in its initial form, it embodies the brand’s capacity for innovation and long-term vision and took form through the SB10.
Across these ranges, Sartory-Billard progressively transitioned from a model centered on bespoke interaction to a more structured and authored approach, without abandoning its principles of sincerity, coherence, and material-driven design.
